Our Pub

Home

After more than 18 years as the Hobgoblin we have changed our name...but don't worry we still have plenty of beer for you.

At more than 300 years old with booths out the back, real ale, cider and perry on draught and no alcopops we may not be your typical town centre pub but we hope you will enjoy a visit.

Contrary to popular belief we are not all ageing blokes with woolly jumpers and sandals (though there are quite a few weirdy beardy types) and we do sell lager - it's Czech, we also have mead and malt whiskey.

We run a quiz on the first Monday of every month with half the proceeds going towards our resident charity - The Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance - and the other half towards the prize fund.

Mobile phones, children and dogs are all banned in the bar but welcome in the rest of the pub. (Please see the policy below for more information)
